Pakistan's provincial government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will construct a temple or a community hall for the Hindu community of Peshawar, a minority lawmaker of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party announced on Thursday.

Ravi Kumar, a member of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly, made the announcement while addressing a Holi celebration event organised by the local Hindu community in the city.

The provincial government has asked the members of the Hindu Rajput community in Peshawar to decide whether they want a temple or a community hall.

Congratulating the Hindu community on Holi, he said that the formal Holi celebration at the government level would be organised on March 30.
