Pakistan's Federal Defence Minister Khawaja Asif has accused India of helping terrorist groups in the country to launch "heinous acts" and said that India "has designs against Pakistan".

According to Dawn News, he said that India has connections with the Taliban and that it is involved in the insurgency in Balochistan that cannot be ignored.

However, the minister failed to provide any evidence to support his claims and said that a low intensity war was underway.

Earlier, Pakistan's Adviser to Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on National Security and Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz said that India is carrying out terrorist activities in Pakistan using Afghan soil.

Asif alleged that India is trying to keep Pakistan busy with skirmishes on the eastern border so that it does not pay attention to war on its western borders and the terrorism within.
