An anti-terrorism court (ATC) in Quetta has reportedly summoned former Pakistani president Pervez Musharraf over the murder of elderly Baloch leader Nawab Akbar Bugti. According to the Dawn, rejecting a medical report of the former president, the court asked his lawyer to ensure his presence in the next hearing.

Nawab Akbar Bugti was killed during an operation in Balochistan's Kohlu district on August 26, 2006. Jamil Akbar Bugti, the Baloch leader's son, had filed a petition in the court seeking an order to register a case against Musharraf, former prime minister Shaukat Aziz and other high-profile names in connection with his father's murder. Judge of the ATC in his remarks warned that bail of former president would be cancelled if he failed to appear before the court on December 10, the report said.
