Nine killed in Czech restaurant shooting: Reports

An armed man killed nine people on Tuesday after bursting into a restaurant in the eastern Czech town of Uhersky Brod, state television said.

"According to our information, there are nine dead on the spot," Czech television channel Ceska Televize (CT) said.

As per Reuter's report, a police spokesman confirmed there was shooting in the town of Uhersky Brod, 300 km (180 miles) southeast of Prague, but declined to comment on any victims. A spokesman for the Interior Ministry was not immediately available for comment.

"Police spokesman Pavel Benedikt Stransky refused to confirm the information but said the gunman "has already been subdued, " reported AFP.
