Michelle Obama debuts new bangs for 49th birthday

US First Lady Michelle Obama rang in her 49th birthday with a new haircut.

The office of the First Lady tweeted a photograph of her sporting the new do whilst speaking with LGBT military rights advocate David Hall.

According to a recent Pew Research Center poll, the First Lady is much more popular than her husband Barack Obama as only 22 percent of Americans view her unfavourably, compared with a 38 percent unfavourable rating for the President, Stuff.co.nz reported.

The internet is especially enamoured with her, with viral juggernaut Buzzfeed posting an article about the haircut almost instantly titled “Michelle Obama Got Bangs.”
