Maoists pull out of KP Oli-led coalition government in Nepal

Maoists leaders from CPN-Maoist Center formally conveyed their party's decision to withdraw support from the government.

The Communist Party of Nepal (Maoist Center) pulled out of the coalition government led by Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli on Tuesday.

Maoist leaders Hitraj Pandey and Janardan Sharma reached the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers this afternoon and formally conveyed their party's decision to withdraw support from the government.
They handed over a letter in this regard to Prime Minister Oli.  

While receiving the letter, Prime Minister Oli extended his best wishes to the CPN-Maoist Center.

According to CPN (Maoist Center) Chief Whip Hitraj Pandey, they had also informed President Bidhya Devi Bhandari about the withdrawal decision after meeting the prime minister.
