Manbir Kaur, 15, has become the first girl from the minority Sikh community to top the Class X matriculation exams in Pakistan, reports Hindustan Times.

Manbir Kaur, 15, has become the first girl from the minority Sikh community to top the Class X matriculation exams in Pakistan, reports Hindustan Times.
Manbir, the daughter of Giani Prem Singh, the head granthi at Gurdwara Sri Nankana Sahib, scored 1035 marks out of 1100.
Speaking to HT over phone, Giani Prem Singh said, "“I think Manbir’s hard work has paid off. She has always been a diligent student. Besides, God has been very kind.”
Manbir Kaur carries out Kirtan sewa at Gurdwara Nankana Sahib along with other jathas. She wants to become a doctor and has enrolled for pre-medical.
Manbir’s father has been receiving congratulatory messages from people of all communities in Pakistan.
