London: Indian Muslim girl raped, murdered 'by kin' over Arab boyfriend

The body of a teenage Indian Muslim girl was found raped and murdered in London. She was in relationship with a man of Arab lineage, UK’s Sun reported.

The rape and murder took place in the victim’s home last week. The victim’s friend who managed to flee the house even after a slit in her throat during the attack, informed the police about the horrifying incident.

As per the reports, the two women were kidnapped by one Mujahid Arshid, and his friend. They were then taken to Arshid’s home where they were raped.

The post-mortem says that the Indian-origin victim died due to incised wound to the neck.

"The deceased was involved in a relationship with an Arab Muslim and the family members didn't approve of this relationship because they are Indian Muslims," the lawyer said.

Arshid and his friend, Vincent Tappu, have been booked with murder, rape and kidnap of the victim and have further been booked for rape and attempted murder of the girl who escaped.
