Joe Biden says NY airport like 'Third World Country' in comparison to Hong Kong

US Vice President Joe Biden has reportedly said that New York's LaGuardia Airport is in need of major improvements, while comparing it with the airport in Hong Kong.

Biden said that if he were to blindfold a person and take him to the LaGuardia, the person would think that he was in some 'Third World country'.

Drawing comparisons with the Hong Kong airport, during an event Thursday in Philadelphia, Biden commented that Hong Kong had the type of modern facility travelers would expect to see in the United States, the ABC News reported.

Meanwhile, the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey operating LaGuardia said that it is investing 3.6 billion dollars to ensure a world-class terminal for passengers.
