Joan Rivers' funeral will be held at temple Emanu-El in New York City, it has been revealed. Rabbi Joshua M. Davidson told ABC News in a statement that it was a dreadfully sad day for all of them.

Davidson asserted that they mourn with Rivers' family, friends and all those millions to whom she brought laughter and joy. The late comedienne died at the age of 81 after she was hospitalised post cardiac arrest. She had been placed in a medically-induced coma after suffering cardiac and respiratory failure during a medical procedure. Rivers was getting her vocal cords checked at a clinic in New York when she started fighting for breath. She was rushed to Mount Sinai Hospital and placed in a coma as members of her family were alerted to her condition, reported New York Daily News online.
