Human Rights Commission of Pakistan (HRCP) has said that a lot of Hindus are migrating from volatile Balochistan province to other parts of the country in light of increasing dangers posed by extremists.

According to the Dawn, Zohra Yusuf, the chairperson of the Human Rights Commission of Pakistan (HRCP), says that Balochistan has been made a fertile place for armed religious extremists under a plan and as a result about 300,000 Shias, Zikris, and Hindus have migrated to other areas of the country. The HRCP chief attributed the migration to strengthening of religious extremists and lack of security in Balochistan.

Yusuf said that while there was some improvement in law and order situation in the province under the new government, the dumping of mutilated bodies, especially in Turbat and Panjgur, had affected the performance of the administration. She also commented on the issue of missing persons, saying that the commission was constantly working on it.
