'Hijabi' British high-school girl crowned 'best-dressed'

Shahin, who wore a blue hijab wrapping around her head and draping around her neck on Clifton's 2015 graduation day, said that she was completely shocked after the announcement and it was like a dream come true for her as there were many other popular girls in the school who could have won.

A hijab can also be a fashion statement as recently a British high school girl, Abrar Shahin, who wears hijab, has been voted by the students as the best-dressed girl of Clifton High School.

According to North Jersey, Shahin has set the new trend and has bashed all the stigmas about Islamic fashion by keeping her religious tradition alive, whereas, Clifton High School sets an example of how acceptance of Islamic traditions has grown in British schools and how people have started looking beyond the labels.

Clifton High School in Bristol, England recently hosted its 2015 graduation day, which was attended by many immigrants and first-generation students whose families hail from across the globe.
