Former Pakistan president Pervez Musharraf has been admitted to the hospital after his condition deteriorated due to high stress.

Musharraf was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of Armed Forces Institute of Cardiology (AFIC) after he is said to be reportedly stressed after hearing about his mother's illness.

The former dictator's mother is currently hospitalized in Sharjah after suffering respiratory issues.

Sources said Musharraf was stressed out after hearing about his mother's ill health and this led to an increase in his blood pressure.

Meanwhile, non-bailable arrests warrant has been issued for Musharraf in case he fails to appear before the court on Monday for the hearing of the high treason case.

The arrest warrant was delivered at the AIFC on Saturday.

Sources close to Musharraf said that he would appear in court as soon as he feels better.
