A video of Kshama Sawan urging the public to “tell America we do not accept a racist agenda and let’s make sure of that on Inauguration Day,” sparked the threats.

Kshama Sawant, an Indian-American Seattle city councilwoman, has reportedly been receiving threats for encouraging protesters to shut down President-elect Donald Trump’s inauguration on January 20.
Raw Story reports, on America's Election Day November 8, Sawant in a video urged the public to “tell America we do not accept a racist agenda and let’s make sure of that on Inauguration Day.”
A member of the Socialist Alternative party, Sawant has been very vocal about her stance against Trump on Twitter:

Raw Story shared some of the emails Sawant received. “Go back to India b****,” read one email. “I am tired of being shamed because I’m a white male. You automatically think I’m a racist. How about you go the f*** back to India or wherever you came from?”
Council spokesperson Dana Robinson Slote revealed that one of Sawant staffer's was also threatened on the phone: "I will come and tattoo a swastika on your head and on that b****’s head."
