Former US President George HW Bush is being treated at Methodist Hospital in Houston, hospital spokesperson Stephanie Asin said on Thursday.
No other information was immediately available from the hospital, but Asin said she would provide more details later Thursday. A spokesperson for Bush could not immediately be reached for comment.
The Houston Chronicle reported on Thursday that Bush, 88, has a chronic cough and that his condition is not life-threatening. He has been in the hospital for a week and is expected to be released this weekend, the newspaper reported.
