French President Emmanuel Macron, who faced the wrath of Islamic nations for his comments on Islam, continues to be trolled across the world. France has waged a decisive fight against Islamic terrorism following the murder of teacher Samuel Paty. "We do not accept hate speech and defend reasonable debate. We will always be on the side of human dignity and universal values," Macron tweeted.

Meanwhile, in many West-Asian countries, the call to boycott French products and ‘more generally demonstrations against France’ are gaining pace on social media. Several Arab trade associations have announced a boycott of French products, in response to recent comments made by Macron. Hashtags such as the #BoycottFrenchProducts in English and the Arabic #NeverTheProphet trended across countries including Kuwait, Qatar, Palestine, Egypt, Algeria, Jordan, Saudi Arabia and Turkey.

Turkey's President Recep Tayyip Erdogan forgot to the decorum of words while criticizing the French president. And he even said that Emmanuel Macron's mental state should be investigated.

Angered by Turkey's president's statement, France has decided to recall its ambassador from Turkey. France is now considering ending all diplomatic ties with Turkey.

Imran joined Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, who too criticised Macron for his comments on Islam and accused the French president of spreading Islamophobia. Khan said the French president has no understanding of Islam.

Most countries in Europe are secular and the leaders there are always proud to be secular. Europe's leaders have been afraid of the word ‘Islamophobia’, as they fear that their image and political branding will deteriorate. Most countries in Europe had opened the country's doors to Muslim refugees to save the branding of secularism.  France is suffering the worst loss of this fundamentalist Islam. However, French President Emmanuel Macron has said he will not give up. The words that are being used against them are not going to bow down to them.

That is, despite so many threats, the French President is trying to save his sequined image.

The French protests, which began in countries like Turkey and Pakistan, have now reached countries like Kuwait, Jordan and Qatar as well. These countries are now demanding a boycott of products made in France. The race to prove itself the leader of the Islamic world has reached such a stage that Saudi Arabia, which was slowly proving itself as a progressive nation, is also opposing France and its president.

It is also very important to understand that population growth is the reason for the rise of Islamic fundamentalism in France. Before 1900, the population of Muslims in France was less than 1,000.

By the year 1950, the population of Muslims in France increased to more than 1 lakh, which was less than one per cent of the total population at that time. In the next 10 years, the number of Muslims went up to more than 9 lakh. In 1970, the number of Muslims in France went up to 20 lakh. Between the years 1960 and 1970, the total number of Muslims was 10 lakh. In the year 1980, the population of Muslims in France reached 25 lakh, which was 5 per cent of the total population. In the year 2000, the share of Muslims in the total population of France reached 8 per cent. At present, 10 per cent of the total population in France is Muslims. The number of Muslims in the population of 6,63,53,00 is more than 66,35,000.

The majority population in France follows Christianity, which is 57 per cent, followed by atheists that comprise 37 per cent of the total population. 10 per cent of France’s population follows Islam, 0.5 per cent Jews and 0.46 per cent are Buddhists. Hindus comprise only 0.18 per cent of the total population that is 1,21,000 people.
