There is a Christmas tree on the loose on the streets of the biggest city on Earth, Tokyo.

British man Joseph Tame owns a digital media business in Tokyo, Japan. Dressing up as Christmas tree, adorned with lights and decorations, Tame has been running through the streets of Japan's capital for the festive season, reports CNN.com

He shared the video on his Facebook page and people can be seen coming up to him to greet the Running Christmas Tree, take pictures with him and be merry.

Tame's costume has over 1500 LEDs, 9 micro-controlers and 100 batteries. It weighs 25 kg and is 2.5 metre in height. His post says,"This mobile seasonal illumination device has been designed to disrupt the illumination industry by allowing for on-demand illumination - simply pull out your phone and summon the Christmas tree anytime, anywhere, and Joseph will head in your direction to bring some light into your life."

Tame took 60 days to make the tree and has a library of 153 Christmas songs.

According to Tame, Tokyo is a vibrant city, but people still prefer keeping to themselves. Tame says people in Tokyo can call the tree to visit them or their loved ones, like they would call for an Uber. He calls it, "UBER FOR ILLUMINATIONS".
