British Prime Minister Boris Johnson is reportedly mulling to resign after six months due to a low salary.

According to British daily tabloid 'The Daily Mirror', Johnson earns approximately USD 1,95,000, that is, £1,50,400 and he plans on resigning to leave office as soon as he gets Brexit done and navigating his country through the coronavirus pandemic.

Some unnamed Tory MPs believe that the prime minister finds his salary underwhelming even in comparison to his previous occupation.

"Boris has at least six children, some young enough to need financial help," the tabloid quoted one MP as saying. "And he had to pay ex-wife Marina Wheeler a shedload as part of their divorce deal."

The article also suggested that Johnson believes that he cannot get past his predecessor Theresa May who resigned after the Brexit treaty got rejected.

Johnson is apparently jealous of May who has earned £1 million ( USD 11,75,695) on the lecture circuit since quitting as the prime minister last year. He believes he can pull in at least double that.

Before becoming the leader of the Tory Party, the PM was on a salary of USD 355584-a-year as a daily Telegraph columnist and also made USD 206885 in one month from giving two speeches.

Another MP added, "Boris is the typical adulterer. More interested in the chase than the prize." The MPs further said that the British Prime Minister believes he could pull in at least double that as he had earned USD 2,06,885 in just two lectures in one month shortly before he became the head of the government.
