The home of a young Syrian girl who received Harry Potter books from JK Rowling, was destroyed by bombs in the eastern part of Aleppo on Sunday night.
According to a report by BBC, Bana Alabed, the seven-year-old Harry Potter fan tweeted via her mother's account that her parent's house was bombed because of the conflict between Syrian rebels and government forces.
Tonight we have no house, it's bombed & I got in rubble. I saw deaths and I almost died. - Bana #Aleppo pic.twitter.com/arGYZaZqjg

Last message - under heavy bombardments now, can't be alive anymore. When we die, keep talking for 200,000 still inside. BYE.- Fatemah

Seven-year-old Bana has been watching the Harry Potter films to distract her from the bombings and fighting, which is occurring in her hometown of Aleppo.
After recently watching the film, Bana's mother Fatemah reached out to Rowling via Twitter, revealing her daughter and other local children were interested in reading the books the movies are based on, reported CNN.
Rowling was moved by the message and replied, writing, "Bana, I hope you do read the book, because I think you'd like it. Sending you lots and lots of love xxx." The 51-year-old writer subsequently sent her electronic copies of all the books in the franchise.
