 Islamic militant group Boko Haram's fighter has revealed in an interview that the kidnapped girls would be released if the Nigerian government decided to free arrested Boko Haram prisoners.

A member of Boko Haram terror group for the last 7 years, Saleh Abubakar disclosed in a rare interview that the girls had converted to Islam, adding that they had not been forced into the conversion but had been `preached` by the religion.

According to CBS News, the militant asserted that the girls were taken care of and were provided with basic necessities. He also implored primarily that the girls would not be released if their `brothers` were not freed.

Abubakar further divulged that the abductions were conspired three months before it took place and notified of more kidnapping if their demands were not concurred, the report added.
