Bill Gates tops Forbes 400 list of richest Americans 2014

Microsoft's founder Bill Gates has yet again topped Forbes 400 list of richest Americans for the 21st consecutive year with a net worth of $81 billion.

According to the Independent, American tycoon Warren Buffet who had recently helped the Burger King and Tim Hortons deal in finances came in second at $ 67 billion. Oracle's chief executive Larry Ellison landed on the third position with a net worth of $50 billion while Brothers Charles and David Koch, co-owners of Koch Industries tied in fourth position with $42 billion each. Facebook's chief executive Mark Zuckerberg was ranked 11th on the list whose net worth is $34 billion.

The average net worth of a Forbes 400 member has increased from $5 billion in 2013 to $5.7 billion this year.
