This weekend Brisbane will host the G20 summit, an economic summit which will focus on what can be done to create jobs and improve the world economy.

In a video message, Australia's Prime Minister Tony Abbott says the focus is on the economy because G20 members account for 85% of the world's economy and 75% of the world trade. The goal is to boost global economic growth by 2% above what is currently expected over the next five years.

Abbott says Australia has set an agenda based on three themes:

* Promote economic growth and jobs growth by strengthening the private sector
* Make the global economy more resilient to future shocks
* Strengthen global institutions make all the difference in uncertain times

"Australia's message to the world is that we are open for business,"Abbott says in the video.

The G20 summit is slated to be held in November 15-16.
