An unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) of the Pakistani Air Force (PAF) crashed in Punjab province during a routine training mission on Monday, days after a pilot was killed in an air crash. The UAV went down in Mianwali district of Punjab province, just days after an F-7PG aircraft crashed in the northwest of the country and killed the pilot.

The UAV was on a routine training mission when it crashed, a PAF spokesman said, adding, there is no loss of life or property. Air Headquarters ordered an enquiry to determine the cause of the crash.

This is the second PAF aircraft which has crashed over the past week. PAF Flight Lieutenant Omer Shahzad died in an air crash in Khyber Agency's Jamrud tehsil near Afghan border on Saturday when the F-7PG he was flying encountered a technical fault and crashed.
