The United States has been hit with another campus shooting at Northern Arizona University campus in Flagstaff, Arizona on Friday.

One person has died and four people were injured in the deadly shooting. The three victims are being currently being treated at Flagstaff Medical Centre, according to a statement by the University. The shooter is in custody.

The incident took place outside Mountain View Hall on the northeast end of the Flagstaff Campus.The first shot reportedly came in at 1:20 a.m. According to the Daily Mail, members of a fraternity, Delta Chi, were involved but it is not clear if the person killed was a member of a fraternity.

The Flagstaff Police Department who was at the scene is investigating the incident. Further details will be made available in a press conference shortly.

The University reported the incident to alert student and staff.

The NAU President Rita Hartung Cheng also made a statement regarding the shooting. "We are, of course, shocked and deeply saddened by the circumstances that bring us together this morning. Our thoughts are with the victims and their families, and our entire Lumberjack family...We have assured the NAU community that the campus was immediately secured by our police department and classes will go on as scheduled," she said.

There are more public mass shootings in the United States than in any other country in the world, according to a new study.

On October 2, nine people were killed and 20 were wounded at a shooting on Thursday at an Oregon community college. 

After which, Barack Obama angrily said "America had made a "political choice" to allow mass shootings like the one in Oregon to occur and blasted the National Rifle Association (NRA) lobby group for blocking reform of US gun laws."
