Former US President Barack Obama went for an outing with Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau on Tuesday during his short trip to Montreal, Canada and the Internet can't get enough of this picture of the duo chatting and laughing over dinner.

This is the 44th President of the United States' first visit to Canada since leaving office in January. Obama spoke to a crowd of about 6,000 people at the Palais des Congrès (Montreal Chamber of Commerce) on Tuesday evening, the event was organised by the Montreal Board of Trade.

During the speech, Obama indirectly criticised President Trump’s decision to withdraw the United States from the Paris climate accord which Obama had played a big role in making a success, but said he believes the agreement still has a chance.

"Obviously I'm disappointed with the current American administration decision to put out of Paris," Obama said during a speech at the, according to the Associated Press.

Although Obama didn't mention Trump by name in his speech, he went on to praise all the states, cities and corporations in the United States carrying on with the Paris accord despite the "temporary absence of American leadership."

Taking another indirect dig at Trump while speaking of the current age of instant information, its advantages and disadvantages, he said,  "Where TV and Twitter can feed us a steady stream of bad news and sometimes fake news, it can seem like the international order we have created is constantly being tested and the centre may not hold."

Obama's half-hour speech was attended by Premier Philippe Couillard, former Premier Jean Charest and several other high-profile business executives although Trudeau was not present.

However, Obama and Trudeau met for dinner at the Liverpool House.

And soon after the dinner, the Canadian Prime Minister tweeted: “How do we get young leaders to take action in their communities? Thanks Barack Obama for your visit & insights tonight in my hometown.”

Twitter went wild and came up with the most hilarious comments on the duo's little dinner date:

Herds of people waited to catch a glimpse of the two men outside the restaurant and when they did come out, the duo engaged in a long embrace before Obama drove away.
