Good Friday commemorates the crucifixion of Jesus Christ.
Good Friday is a Christian holiday that commemorates the crucifixion of Jesus Christ. It is part of the Christian Holy Week that ends on Sunday with Easter. Good Friday is also called Holy Friday, Great Friday and Black Friday.
On Good Friday, Christians across the world observed the day with reenactments of the crucifixion of Jesus Christ, prayers and processions. Friday and Saturday are considered part of the mourning period before the Easter celebrations on Sunday.
