Let's take a look at how the world is marking the occasion.
The benefits of integrating Yoga in your day to day lives are manifold and experts can tell you all about it. People around the world are celebrating International Day of Yoga on Thursday, June 21. The United Nations General Assembly in 2014 adopted a resolution declared June 21 as the International Day of Yoga, co-sponsored by 175 countries. While Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi performed Yoga with over 50,000 enthusiasts at the Forest Research Institute campus in Dehradun, Indian diaspora took to the Peruvian mountains to spread the message.
"Dehradun to Dublin, Shanghai to Chicago, Jakarta to Johannesburg, Himalayan highlands or sunburnt deserts, Yoga is enriching millions of lives all over the world," said the PM. The enthusiasm of getting from 'illness to wellness' is spreading from the busy streets of the South Korean capital, Seoul, to the foot of Eiffel Tower in Paris.
