The latest trailer for Netflix's new sci-fi offering Altered Carbon gives away new information about the series so that you can start putting the pieces of the puzzle together.

Joel Kinnaman (House of Cards, Suicide Squad) is the lead of the series based on the classic cyberpunk noir novel of the same name by Richard K. Morgan.

Set more than 300 years in the future, the show takes a look at the society that has been transformed by new technology which digitises consciousness. This makes human bodies interchangeable and death is no longer permanent.

Kinnaman plays Takeshi Kovacs who has been resurrected by Isaac Bancroft, played by Antonio Maziale, to solve his own murder.

Things are not as simple as they look. The show also released creepy first look images as part of their Consumer Electronics Show 2018 promotion. The images are the bodybags created by Psychasec, the company in Altered Carbon, that contain humans called as sleeves. Do note the difference between the bag that contains Kinnaman.

James Purefoy, Martha Higareda, Renee Elise Goldsberry, Will Yun Lee and Dichen Lachman play other pivotal roles in the series.

The show will be available for streaming on February 2.
