Saturday Night Live returned from the holiday break with Sam Rockwell hosting the show.

But it was the revelation that Bill Murray plays Steve Bannon could easily be the hightlight of the latest episode.

The American politics was a massive rollercoster of shock and shock last week that began with explosive revelations made in Michael Wolff's book titled 'Fire and Fury.'

The book features Bannon's scathing comments about Donald Trump Jr calling his meeting with the Russian lawyer during the 2016 presidential election campaign as "treasonous" and "unpatriotic."

He reportedly also said, "They're going to crack Don Junior like an egg on national TV."

Picking up on this issue, the comedy sketch show, which usually features Bannon as nothing but a death, satan skull, surprised the viewers by casting Bill Murray for the role.

Murray was sat with SNL alum Fred Armisen, who played author Michael Wolff, as two guests for MSNBC's morning show Morning Joe. SNL cast members Alex Moffat played Joe Scarborough and Kate McKinnon played Mika Brzezinski.

Armisen's Wolff was asked about something shocking about Donald Trump. He chose to share a story about 'Baby Races. "There were baby races. Trump would ask to have two babies placed in his office, usually of different races. Someone would put a bowl of Goldfish crackers at the other side of the room. Trump would say, ‘A thousand bucks on the black one,'” he said.

Then Murray chimed in as Bannon revealing the other projects he has in pipeline after being fired from White Hosue and later leaving Breitbart. Some of them include - wrinkled barn jackets called 'Frumpers' for guys, spring skin care line called 'Blotch' and a new show on streaming platform Crackle.

Murray's Bannon did not stop there. He revealed that he was the one who asked Americans to elect Donald Trump and he already has new prospects for a new president. "Already got some prospects. Logan Paul. Martin Shkreli.  The Subway guy. It’s time for America to slide down the Bannon-ster."

The conversation got more interesting when cast member Leslie Jones joined in as Oprah. She talked about her potential candidacy, "I am a celebrity, so I’m qualified, but I am different from Donald Trump because I’m actually a billionaire. There’s only one job more powerful than being president. Being Oprah!”
