Kapil Sharma sure has made a comeback but things don't seem to be going the way he would have wanted them to. The second season of 'The Kapil Sharma Show' may have opened on a grand note with team 'Simmba': Rohit Shetty, Ranveer Singh and Sara Ali Khan but it wasn't reportedly able to garner the expected numbers. The show has not received the same kind of warmth or adultation that it once got. Not only did the audience miss the old characters of the show, but they also found the jokes and narratives repetitive.

As per a report in Dainik Bhaskar, Salman Khan, who is co-producing the show along with Kapil, is not making the epected amount of money.

Earlier, Kapil used to charge somewhere between Rs 60-70 lakh per weekend episode, however, now, the comedian is only getting around Rs 15-20 lakh per episode. And, it clearly is a huge fall in comparision to his previous remuneration. The report further suggests that Bharti Singh and Krushna Abhishek, too, have slashed their fee and are getting somewhere around Rs 10-12 lakh per weekend episode.

The show also stars Kiku Sharda, Chandan Prabhakar and Sumona Chakravarti while Navjot Singh Siddhu continues to sit on his judge throne.
