Manoj Bajpayee and Samantha Akkineni starrer 'The Family Man 2' has been receiving rave reviews ever since the makers dropped season 2 of the hit franchise on Amazon Prime Video earlier this month. Directed by Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK, the series also saw some great performances by the supporting cast including Shahab Ali, who essayed the role of Sajid in the series.
While Samantha Akkineni aka Raji and Shahab Ali aka Sajid both played extremists in the series, the two were shown to have a soft corner for each other via various sequences where they discussed their past and struggles etc.
Now, in a recent interview, Shahab has revealed that there were intimate scenes, which were edited by the makers in the final stage.
When asked about those scenes, he told Bollywood Hungama, "It is not just the intimate scenes. It was the usual process - you have a lengthy show and there is the process of editing which comes later. It was not like a particular scene was edited out."
Shahab Ali added, "I think only those scenes were retained that were required and logical. The parts that were not logical, were not kept (in the final version)."
On being asked if he did some intimate scenes with Samantha, Shahab replied, "We did some suggestive scenes that suggested that they fall in love towards the end. But those scenes were not making sense for the creators, or maybe the platform. So, those scenes were edited out. There are so many scenes edited out, so it is not a big deal. That is the process (of content creation)."
In the show, Samantha and Shahab are shown as extremists, who plan to carry out a suicidal assassination plan in India to kill the Prime Minister of the country.
In the show, we see Manoj Bajpayee as Srikant Tiwari trying to stop the two from executing the plan while also struggling to save his daughter from the clutches of the terrorists and work out his marriage with his wife Suchitra Tiwari essayed by Priyamani.
