Tamil TV actress Priyanka aka Jyothika from 'Vamsam' commits suicide in Chennai

Tamil TV actress Priyanka, who starred in the Tamil television show Vamsam, reportedly committed suicide by hanging herself at her Valasaravakkam residence in Chennai. Priyanka starred along side noted actress Ramya Krishnan, who plays the protagonist in the show. 

A report on India Today suggests that Priyanka's maid found her hanging from the ceiling fan on Wednesday morning. While the real reason behind the actress deciding to take her own life, is not known, it is alleged that it could be because of domestic dispute that Priyanka took such a harsh decision. 

Reportedly, the Tamil actress was married to her husband for about three years and she had not conceived. The couple did not have any kids, which is reported to be the main cause of troubles and tension within the family. 

The report further suggests that Priyanka's body has been sent for postmortem so that a conclusion can be drawn about why she committed suicide. Further investigation for the reason behind her suicide is also going on.
