As per earlier reports in the media, it was being said that Disha might not be returning to the show until a vaccine for COVID is introduced given she has a toddler at home and wouldn't want to risk her child, family members or her own health at the moment.

Meanwhile, in a recent interview Bhavya Gandhi aka Tapu, who also quit the show years ago, revealed that he is still in touch with Disha.

Bhavya said, "We definitely have these video calls sometimes, and everytime she sees me, she goes, 'Aahhh, whatt, beard?' (laughs) I say, yes, I've got a beard now. She has never seen me in a beard, so she gets shocked. I say, 'Haan, aave gaiyo' (Yes, they've grown) and I am growing them more."

For the unversed, 'Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah' s is one of the longest-running Indian sitcoms.
