RIP Leena Acharya: Rohan Mehra and other television celebs mourn actor's death

Leena Acharya passed away earlier on November 21, 2020, due to kidney failure in Delhi.

Leena Acharya's death came as a shocker to many. The actor who was in her 30s died due to kidney failure and she was battling the illness for nearly two years. Several television celebs and Leena's co-stars took to their social media pages and mourned her death. The late actor had shared screen space with Rohan Mehra in Class Of 2020 and he shared a photo clicked in 2019.

Rohan wrote, "Rest in peace @leena_acharya20 ma'am. Last year this time we were shooting for the Class of 2020. Will miss you."

While Leena's Seth Ji co-star Worship Khanna shared a still with her from the show and captioned it stating, "It's sad when the person who gave you memories becomes one. RIP."

He also told The Times of India, "The actress was suffering from kidney ailment for the past one and half years. Her mother donated her kidney a while back, but she didn’t survive. In 2015, I had the opportunity to work with Leena Ji. She played my mother on-screen in Seth Ji. I was playing the role of Ganesh Rao, a Maharashtrian. I would call her Maeri instead of Maa. We shared a great bond. Being a bachelor staying alone in Mumbai, she would get food for me and say ‘Betu khaana kha le’. She was a very fun-loving person."

Abhishek Gautam, the actor and screenwriter penned on his Facebook page, "My good friend and a great artist Leena Acharya, who would always stand up for others, bid goodbye to this world and I lost a good friend. You will always be missed, my friend."

While Abhishek Bhalerao took to his Twitter page and shared a screenshot of WhatsApp conversation he had with Leena. He wrote, "May your soul Rest in Power. An amazing actress a hustler, one who would apply and go regularly to every audition I would share with her. A beautiful soul."
