After a public campaign to ban the show, criticism for being regressive and even time slot being changed, makers of 'Pehredaar Piya Ki' have finally found a solution to end all troubles.

As per a report in Hindustan Times, the makers have begun the hunt for grown up Prince Ratan Singh to be paired opposite Divya Ratan Singh aka Tejasswi Prakash. The show will take a 12 year leap in October and will replace Afaan Khan who plays the 9 year old prince. Given the show has become extremely popular, a lot of TV stars have been auditioning to bag the part. A source close to the show said, "We have been looking for actors to play the part of 21 year old prince. Since the time we spread the word, we have been getting a lot of applications. Interested candidates have been sending their tapes for audition as well."

The criteria for selection of the actor is that he should look younger to Tejasvi Prakash who plays the role of the Ratan's wife. Keen to find a fresh face, the makers are also planning to audition actors across the world before they finalise on grown up Prince Ratan.

While it appears this leap to be a step towards avoiding controversies, the source close to the show says it was planned much in advance. "Since the show went on air in July, the leap will be shown in October. So unlike what is being is said, we have not planned the leap to put an end to the criticism around the show."

And we believe that!
