My character had become stagnant: Ali Asgar on leaving The Kapil Sharma Show

Ali Asgar had been an integral part of Kapil Sharma's team. Wherever he went, Ali was always there. Whether it was Comedy Nights with Kapil or The Kapil Sharma Show, they were a powerful team.

But post the mid air fiasco that happened in March, the team stood divided. Along with Sunil Grover, Ali also decided to leave the show. The two comedians boycotted the show and never returned. 

But they have maintained a strict silence on the whole episode. But now, Ali has broken silence and explained his stance on walking out of the show. 

He said, "It is unfortunate. There are times when you are at crossroads and you have to take a decision. I miss the show and the stage. We have walked together as a team. But a time came when I felt professionally I had reached a point. I moved out due to creative differences as my character had become stagnant and wasn't going anywhere. There was no scope for improvement in it."
