Mouni Roy to make her digital debut in a web series

It was Ekta Kapoor’s Naagin that catapulted Mouni Roy to be the top TV star of today. The show, which had her playing an ichhadhaari naagin, has always topped TRP charts, since its inception. Now the makers are planning to come up with a third part of the series. 

Says a source, “Naagin 3 will have a different lead heroine this time. Mouni is busy with her two Bollywood projects — Gold and Brahmastra — and won’t be able to give dates for another season of the show.”

But Ekta is close to the actress and has something else planned for her. Reveals our source, “There will possibly be some scenes which will have Mouni in flashbacks in the show this season, but Ekta has offered Mouni a web series, for her digital video platform, Alt Balaji, and Mouni is definitely doing it.”

The source adds, “Mouni has loved the idea and the series is being developed. Since it will have a limited number of episodes, it will be easy for Mouni to schedule the shoot in between her two Bollywood projects.”
