Khatron Ke Khiladi is in its ninth edition and director Rohit Shetty returns as the host for the fourth time. The Golmaal Again director has always spoken about taking necessary precautions before performing stunts. He is also creatively involved with the process on the stunt-based reality TV show.

But this year, apparently things aren’t going too well. A source informs, “The team is currently shooting in Argentina. And unlike other seasons, it seems this time the crew is finding it difficult to ensure proper safety measures for all the contestants. While performing the stunts, some participants like actor-singer Aditya Narayan and producer as well as Bigg Boss 11 finalist Vikas Gupta have been injured.”

“During one of the stunts, Aditya fell and injured his eye. He was rushed to the hospital and has been advised a week’s rest. On another instance, a python was going to attack contestant Bharti Singh. Vikas tried to save her and was bitten by the snake. He was given a few injections and has been asked to take some time out to recover,” adds the source.

Reportedly, this is the first time in the history of the TV show that such mishaps have occurred. “Rohit is not at all happy with whatever has happened. He was fuming when these accidents took place, but the situation is currently under control. The team has ensured  extra safety for all the contestants,” states the source.

An insider, who is working on the show, says, “Khatron Ke Khiladi is a daredevil- stunt-based reality show. These things keep happening and the contestants have to fight their fears. But all safety measures are in place now. There are no problems with the shoot.”
