A few days ago it was confirmed that Aamna Sharif has been finalised to play Komolika in the ongoing hit show Kasautii Zindagii Kay. She has replaced Hina Khan who played the role for a brief period of time. However, the actor quit the show so as to concentrate on her Bollywood career. Hina even made her debut at Cannes Film Festival this year and promoted her debut film, Lines at the prestigious event.
Meanwhile, talking about Aamna, the actor is making a comeback to the small screen after a long time with Kasautii Zindagii Kay. A while back, the makers of the show unveiled the promo featuring her. In the video, we can see how after plastic surgery, Hina transforms into Aamna aka Komolika and is set to be back with a vengeance. Ekta Kapoor, who is the producer of the show shared the promo on her Instagram page with a caption stating, "Bihar ka bebaaakpan .... bengal ki adaaa say hi to KOMOLIKAAAA! Amna not so ‘sharif’ anymore as #komolika"
Hina also conveyed her wishes to Aamna by commenting on Ekta's post. She wrote, "Wohooooo best best best wishes"

Earlier while talking about starring in Kasautii Zindagii Kay, Aamna told Bombay Times, "The reason for the break was the need to reinvent my personal life. It would have been easy to stay in my comfort zone and come back with a love story, but that wouldn’t have satiated me as an actor. It’s always a different kind of rush to surprise your audience. So, when I was offered the role of Komolika, I instinctively knew that this is what will challenge me the most as an actor."
