Kapil Sharma’s show stays

The rumours of The Kapil Sharma Show being axed are  just that….rumours. Sources at the channel confirm that the show will get yet another season of life, albeit with changes.

A source from Kapil Sharma’s team says, “The  current format has run its course. Sunil Grover and Ali Asgar’s departure and Bharati Singh and Chandan Prabhakar’s re-entry are not the issue. We’ve realised that the entire show needs a revamp.”

Kapil’s show will now take  a break and come back with a completely different look and format. The focus on inviting Bollywood stars would be reduced. However, Sunil Grover is not being invited back to the show. “He is welcome if he wants to return, but no one is sending out feelers to him; least of all Kapil.” says a team member.

Another big concern is Kapil’s health. The comic virtuoso has, apparently, fainted thrice on the sets of the show, and his team members blame his film aspirations for his health issues.

A source in the know says, “He spends close to six hours recording for The Kapil Sharma Show and then tries to shoot for his film, Firang. The  film is not going anywhere. It is a deadweight.”
