Looks like all isn't well for ace comedian Kapil Sharma. The comedian turned actor who had once ruled the hearts of the TV audience with his hilarious gigs and one-liners, be it Comedy Nights with Kapil or The Kapil Sharma Show, is now caught in an ugly controversy after her went on an abusive Twitter rant against the editor of an entertainment web portal. Not just that, Kapil allegedly also called up the said editor and hurled abuses on him over the telephonic conversation, an audio clip of which had been put up by the portal.

Now, amidst the controversy, Kapil's comeback game show, Family Time With Kapil Sharma had been put on hold after just two initial episodes. In an e-mail interview with news agency IANS, Kapil finally broke his silence on the matter. When quizzed about his abrupt absence from the small screen, the comedian shared, "I think I need some me time and need to recuperate. I've been working too hard for too long. There is a lot in the pipeline and lot of new exciting projects which I will talk about soon. The reality right now is that I have worked very hard and I love what I do. I just need some time off and I promise you that I will be entertaining you again, as that is what I thrive on."

Kapil Sharma also admitted that the comments made by some of his former team members have affected him. He was quoted as saying, "What is most damaging and hurtful is when comments are made by those people that you consider your friends and your well-wishers. Over the years, I have always been about my work and that is what continues to drive me. Irrespective of what is said, my work will continue to be my biggest motivation."

When he was asked a bout his former colleagues Ali Asgar and Upasana joining his once-good-friend Sunil Grover's show Dhan Dhana Dhan, Kapil said that he wishes them all the best. "I am very happy for them, and in the same way, I would just want them to be happy for me too. There is ample space for them to grow in the industry and I wish them the very best."

We hope Kapil Sharma is back again soon to tickle our funny bones once again!
