Looks like Twitterati took offence when the latest episode of the American television series showed a plotline in which Indian nationalists are trying to blow up New York's Manhattan in a nuclear attack to frame Pakistan.

The storyline has never been a great strength of Quantico. They tried the time-jump technique in the first season to show how Alex Parrish, the character Priyanka Chopra plays, became an FBI agent. The novelty of Bollywood actress being lead in an American show covered up the lack of strength in the story.

The second season was downhill hence the shorter version of the third season and eventual wrap-up. Quantico's ratings were on a downward curve, but it was Indian audience that continued to support PeeCee's show.

But with this latest episode, she seems to have irked Indian tweeters and they are quite vocal about it, even the show is fictional.

This cat of argument also dragged in Shah Rukh Khan's movie Main Hoon Na, that showed Suneil Shetty as Indian Nationalist terrorist.

There were others who said that one needs to understand the fiction part of the story in Quantico.

The Twitter outrage is not something Priyanka Chopra has not seen before.

She was targeted for wearing a dress when she met Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Her visit to Rohingya refugee camp in Bangladesh as UN ambassador was trolled too.

It remains to be seen how and if Priyanka Chopra will react to this outrage.
