Fox, NatGeo to investigate fresh sexual misconduct allegations against Astrophysicist, TV host Neil deGrasse Tyson

Astrophysicist, TV host Neil deGrasse Tyson has been accused of sexual misconduct by two more women, reports Deadline.

Dr Katelyn N Allers, an Associate Professor of Physics and Astronomy at Bucknell University alleged that Tyson groped her at an after-party for American Astronomical Society in 2009. The second woman accusing Tyson is his former assistant Ashley Watson who alleges that she had to quit her job over inappropriate sexual advances by the scientist.

Producers at Fox and National Geographic who are working on Cosmos reboot with Tyson told the website that the matter is being looked into.

Producers said in a statement that they take these matters seriously and are reviewing the recent reports.

"The credo at the heart of Cosmos is to follow the evidence wherever it leads," the producers of the show said in a statement to Deadline. "The producers of Cosmos can do no less in this situation. We are committed to a thorough investigation of this matter and to act accordingly as soon as it is concluded."

Musician Tchiya Amet is the first woman to accuse Tyson of raping her when they both were grad students.

Emmy Award-winning series Cosmos was made famous by Carl Sagan. Its reboot is slated to premiere on March 3 starring Neil deGrasse Tyson.
