Remember ex Bigg Boss 10 contestant Akanksha Sharma? She's the one who's married to cricketer Yuvraj Singh' brother Zoravar Singh. Akanksha has now come out in open and filed a domestic violence case against her husband Zoravar, brother-in-law Yuvraj Singh and mother-in-law Shabnam Singh as well.
A report on entertainment portal SpotboyE,com suggests that Akanksha has decided to speak about the matter after the first hearing of the matter on October 21. The report further quoted Akanksha's lawyer Swati Singh Malik as confirming the news saying, "Yes, Akanksha has filed a case of domestic violence against Yuvraj, her husband Zoravar and their mother Shabnam."
The report also reveals that Swati informed them that Akanksha's mother-in-law Shabnam had filed a suit against her (Akanksha) for recovery of some jewellery.
When quizzed why Yuvraj has been slapped with the notice, Swati explained, "Look, domestic violence does not mean just physical violence. It also means mental and financial torture, which can be attributed to Yuvraj.Yuvraj was a mute spectator to the suffering caused to my client by Zoravar and his mother," added the report.
Swati also revealed that when Shabnam was pressurising Akanksha to get pregnant, Yuvraj too joined her and asked Akanksha to have a baby. "Yuvraj would even tell her that she should obey his mother because she was the most superior person in the house," said Swati.
Apparently, Yuraj also told Akanksha that if she doesn't do as told by his mother, then there's no place for her in that house. The lawyer also informed that Akanksha was even slapped and pushed and had to go throught domestic violence on both emotional and financial levels. They would tell her to get up at 5 am and make tea despite the presence of 3 cooks in the house.
Akanksha was seen mentioning a few things about her troubled marriage and the issues with her in-laws during her stay in the Bigg Boss house last year as well. After coming out of the Bigg Boss house, in an interview, she had revealed how her husband Zoravar was merely a puppet in the hands of his mother Shabnam.
