Ekta Kapoor's 'Kasautii Zindagii Kay' gets a thundering welcome, beats Salman Khan's 'Bigg Boss 12' on BARC

Ekta Kapoor's Kasautii Zindagii Kay's reboot version marked its debut at number 10 on the BARC India ratings with 6.2 million impressions in its first week  (September 22-28) itself. The Erica Fernandes and Parth Samthaan starrer family drama seems to have benefitted hugely from the original show's fan-base. It's grandeur and new-cast has garnered a lot of new fans, aswell. 

The show beat Salman Khan's 'Bigg Boss 12' in the race. The controversial reality show, that made a thundering debut last week at number six, slipped to tenth spot in its second week with just 4.7 million impressions. Amitabh Bachchan's 'Kaun Banega Crorepati 10', however, continued its winning run as it garnered 6.2 million impressions this week. 

Talking about the top five urban shows, Surbhi Jyoti's 'Naagin 3' continued to reign at the top spot. Star Plus' 'Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai' jumped back to the second spot while Zee TV's 'Kundali Bhagya' and 'Kumkum Bhagya' remained steady on third and fifth positions. Star Plus' 'Kullfi Kumarr Bajewala' made a smashing comeback in top five with 6.4 million impressions as it claimed the fourth spot. The show was at eighth spot last week.
