Disha Vakani aka Daya Ben to be back on Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah with a twist, details inside

While speculations about Disha Vakani aka Daya Ben's return to popular sitcom Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah were rife, with several reports suggesting that she might not be back on the show at tall, here's some good news for all the fans of the show. 

Disha recently became the proud mother to a baby girl. The popular TV actress embraced motherhood in November last year. Since then, she has been on a maternity leave. It's been pretty long since then and the fans of the show have been missing her dearly. 

Now, the makers too realised this when they wee flooded with fan mails and requests to bring her back. So the viewer' favourite Daya Ben is all set to be back on Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah, but there's a twist. The actress won't be back on the sets of the show and shoot for new episodes. 

In fact, apparently, the makers are planning to introduce a flashback sort of a track in which Daya and Jethalal will be seen reliving their good old days and glimpses of the previously shot episodes will be shown to the viewers. 

An entertainment portal quoted a source as saying, "The makers of Taarak Mehta… will introduce a track revolving around Daya Ben and Gada family. Daya and Jethalal will revive their good old memories in the show. They would talk about how they were as teenagers and how much fun they had in their childhood.” 

The source added, "Though the sequences featuring Disha have been shot, makers will use the footage in its upcoming episodes. Since viewers were missing Daya in Taarak Mehta… they decided to use the unexploited scenes now.”
