Well, many would agree when we say that singer Anup Jalota and Jasleen Matharu's jodi was the ‘vichitra’ in the Bigg Boss 12 house.

Even though the two are not together any longer as Anup was evicted from the Salman Khan show on Sunday, the two continue to make it to the headlines.

After his exit, Anup Jalota spoke to indianexpress.com about his Bigg Boss 12 experience, who he thinks should be the winner and his relationship with Jasleen.

“It was a mind-blowing experience. It also helped me improve my health. I don’t remember when was the last time I had slept for eight hours. In the six weeks that I was in the house, I slept and ate well, got to workout and have also lost four kilos. I think if I would have stayed there for a longer period, I would have replaced Salman Khan as the host,” the singer told the website.

Wild card entrant and Bigg Boss Marathi winner Megha Dhade played a pivotal role in Anup Jalota’s nomination.

While sharing that she regretted putting him in danger, the 65-year-old said, “She was feeling sad about it and even apologised to me. She told me that initially she couldn’t understand me compared to others. And it’s ironical that Megha nominated me for being self-conscious. A person who has a good will and reputation would obviously not want to destroy it over petty fights on a reality show.”

But was the singer evicted because he had signed a contract with the makers of the show?

Buzz on social media says that Anup had signed a contract for a specific time period, and that he had to fly off for his upcoming concerts.

Refuting the reports, Anup, as quoted by the website said, “You are most welcome to have dinner with me for the next 10 days in my house. I am not going anywhere. I have the same contract like everyone for 105 days. So all these news are completely baseless.”

The Bhajan maestro played a clean game during his stay in the house. Is that why he was shown the door?

To this he replied saying, “Not really. If that was the case, I would have not managed to stay for so long in the show. I think Bigg Boss has a place for everyone. But then yes, people enjoy watching contestants who indulge in ghatia (cheap) tactics for entertainment.”

Anup Jalota also had some strong words for Surbhi Rana and Sreesanth who according to him are unpredictable.

“Surbhi and Sree should be locked in the outhouse. They would be able to calm each other down. While Surbhi’s action of putting a tika of blood was scary, Sree’s move of getting back as friends with Dipika Kakar spoiled my game. When we had returned from the secret room, we had decided to play the game smartly. But his move somehow spoilt my plans,” he went on to say.

As for the ones playing the game intelligently, the devotional singer said, “Romil (Chaudhary) is a very smart man. He is a lawyer and he reads between the lines. But I don’t know if he will win or not. Also, the new entrants are quite entertaining. Megha seems to have a doctorate on the show. But when you board a train mid-way, there are less chances you will win the show.”

“On the other hand, Surbhi, Dipika and even Deepak (Thakur) are playing a dirty game. They are not trust worthy and can change the game anytime,” he shared.

When asked about his lady love Jasleen Matharu, Anup Jalota elucidated saying that it’s not love between them.

He said, “Ours is a very pure and musical relationship. And I think it’s above love. My relationship with Jasleen is not physical but spiritual. Outside the show, we have been to each other’s house only a couple of times. During our stay, we got to talk and spend time together. And I can confidently say, our bond has become stronger. I hope it continues to be so forever.”

And what does he miss about Bigg Boss 12, Anup said, “To be honest, I am missing Sreesanth. I think I had gotten used to his drama and rona dhana. He was climbing roofs, trying to run away. It was quite an entertainment for all of us. I keep recalling those moments and smiling.”

After Anup Jalota and Saba Khan’s eviction, Bigg Boss 11 fame Shilpa Shinde and Vikas Gupta will enter the Bigg Boss 12 house as guest contestants.

News is that that even Nehha Pendse will enter the show.
