A day after TV star Shweta Tewari left for Cape Town to participate in 'Khatron Ke Khiladi 11', estranged husband Abhinav Kohli, who is involved in a bitter custody dispute with her, has accused the actress of 'abandoning' their son, Reyansh.

In two separate videos on Instagram, Abhinav while mentioning that he refused to consent to Shweta taking their son Reyaansh along with her to South Africa, stated that he has reached out to child helpline to assist him in finding his son, who he mentioned felt anxious when neither of his parents is around him. He also said that he has been going from 'hotel to hotel' with a picture of Reyansh, asking about his whereabouts at the reception during the pandemic which is taking the lives of hundreds of thousands.

In the video, Abhinav also mentioned that with Shweta overseas, he is the child's "natural" guardian. According to Abhinav, Shweta has left their son at a Mumbai hotel.

"Shweta has left for South Africa to participate in Khatron Ke Khiladi 11. She had asked for my consent to go to South Africa, but I refused since it is not safe to travel amid the spread of coronavirus. She will be working there for 12 hours a day and will leave the child at the hotel, which is not required. I can take care of my son. Despite me telling her not to, she has left and I got to know of her leaving from all the videos circulating in the media. But where is my kid? I am going from hotel to hotel to find him. I went to the police station but they didn’t help me. Instead, they asked me to send an email to Children Welfare Committee," Abhinav is heard saying in the video.

Abhinav also said that at ta time when COVID is claiming the lives 'left, right and center', Shweta has gone on to participate in a show when their son Rayansh was suffering from "chest congestion" and had "swollen eyes."

"My child has anxiety issues. If he doesn't have any of his parents around him, he feels insecure," he added.

In the series of videos, Abhinav also stated that if he doesn't find his child, he will be left with no other option but to make an appeal to the High Court. Abhinav Kohli captioned the above post as, "Desperate I don't know what my child is facing."

Shweta Tiwari and Abhinav Kohli tied the knot in 2013 but are separated.
