Xiaomi Redmi Y2 to go on sale today in India at 12PM: How to get Rs 1800 cashback from Airtel

While the 3GB RAM/32GB storage variant is priced at Rs 9,999, the 4GB RAM/64GB storage variant is priced at 12,999. It will be available in three colors - Dark Grey, Rose Gold and Gold.

Xiaomi’s Redmi Y2 will go on sale in India today via e-commerce portal Amazon India, starting 12PM. While the 3GB RAM/32GB storage variant is priced at Rs 9,999, the 4GB RAM/64GB storage variant is priced at 12,999. It will be available in three colors - Dark Grey, Rose Gold and Gold.

If you are an Airtel user, you can get Rs 1800 instant cashback and up to 240GB of data as well. However, the offer is applicable only on Airtel Prepaid recharges of Rs 199 or Rs 448 done through the My Airtel App. The cashback will be provided in the form of 36 discount coupons worth Rs 50 each adding up to total amount worth Rs 1800. When customer registers on the myAirtel app on an offer eligible handset, the coupons get credited in the MyAirtel app of the primary number within 24 hours.

The discount coupons would be available for redemption on subsequent recharges of unlimited packs of Rs 199 or Rs 448 on My Airtel App only. When a customer chooses a Rs 199 or Rs 448 recharge from the app, the discount coupon applies automatically.

The Xiaomi Redmi Y2 features a 5.99-inch HD+ display that runs at a resolution of 1440×720 pixels, and an aspect ratio of 18:9. Under the hood is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 octa-core SoC that is well known for its performance and battery life. It will be available in 3GB/4GB RAM variants. It will be available in two storage variants – 32GB and 64GB storage variants.

In the photography department, the Redmi Y2 comes with dual camera setup at the back, which includes a 12-megapixel primary sensor and a 5-megapixel depth sensor. Both the cameras work in tandem and allow you to add DSLR-like bokeh effects to your photos. For selfies and video calling, there is a 16-megapixel AI-powered front camera which comes with a dedicated portrait mode to add those bokeh effects to your selfies.

With connectivity options such as 4G LTE with VoLTE, dual-SIM card slots, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and GPS, the smartphone runs Android 8.0 Oreo OS with MIUI 9 skin on top. It also includes iPhone X-like gesture control support, allowing you to disable the on-screen Android navigation buttons, and make the most of the full-screen display. To keep things ticking, the smartphone is armed with a 3,080mAh battery. In terms of security, the smartphone comes with a fingerprint sensor at the back, and face unlock feature too.
