Xiaomi Redmi 5, Xiaomi Mi TV 4A and Xiaomi Mi TV 4 to go on sale today at 12PM: All details here

The Xiaomi Redmi 5 will go on sale today at 12PM. The 2GB RAM variant will be priced at Rs 7,999 while the 3GB RAM variant is priced at Rs 8,999 and the 4GB RAM variant will be priced at Rs 10,999. The company stated that 4 lakh units of the device will be available for sale. It will be available via mi.com, Amazon India and Mi Home Stores.  It will be available in Black, Gold, Lake Blue, and Rose Gold colour variants.

The Xiaomi Redmi 5 will go on sale today at 12PM. The 2GB RAM variant will be priced at Rs 7,999 while the 3GB RAM variant is priced at Rs 8,999 and the 4GB RAM variant will be priced at Rs 10,999. Additionally, Mi TV 4A and Mi TV 4 will go on sale today as well. It will be available via e-commerce portal Flipkart.

Xiaomi Redmi 5

Xiaomi has also partnered with Reliance Jio to offer instant cash back of Rs 2,200 along with 100GB of additional data. This means that Jio members are eligible for the cashback offer of Rs 2,200. This beings down the effective price of the device to Rs 5,799. This cashback amount will be credited to users in the form of 44 cashback vouchers worth Rs 50 each on the MyJio app upon performing recharge on the Xiaomi Redmi 5. Customers can then redeem these vouchers against future recharges done in the MyJio app.

SBI credit card holders will also get an additional 5 percent discount on Amazon India and Mi.com while purchasing the device. Lastly, users will also get 90 percent off on their first Kindle eBooks purchase.

In terms of specifications, the Redmi 5 features a 5.7-inch display with a 1440 x 720 pixels resolution. It is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 processor with 2GB/3GB/4GB RAM variants. It will also be available in 16GB/32GB storage variants.

It will come equipped with a 12MP rear camera with f/2.2 aperture and LED flash along with a 5MP front-facing camera with Beautify 3.0 capabilities and LED flash. Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS and a 3.5mm headphone jack. A 3300mAh battery completes the package.

Mi TV 4A

In terms of specifications, the 43-Inch Mi TV 4A sports a full-HD display with a 1920x1080 pixels resolution. It is powered by a 1.5GHz Amlogic processor, paired with 1GB of RAM. It will be available with the Patchwall interface. It also includes an internal storage of 8GB. Connectivity features include Wi-Fi, three HDMI ports, three USB 2.0 ports, one Ethernet port and 3.5mm headphone jack port. It will be available with the Patchwall interface.

On the other hand, the 32-Inch Mi TV 4A sports a HD display along with a 178-degree viewing angle. It is powered by a quad-core Amlogic processor, paired with 1GB of RAM. It also includes an internal storage of 8GB. Connectivity features includes Wi-Fi, three HDMI ports, two USB 2.0 ports, an Ethernet port and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

Mi TV 4

The device in India will come with a 55-inch 4K display and will offer content, including from Hotstar, Voot, Sony Liv, Hungama Play, Zee 5, Alt Balaji, The Viral Fever, etc.

Mi TV 4 is 4.9mm thin with a 4K display that goes almost all the way to the edge.  The device runs on a customised operating system called Patchwall OS. Additionally, it also includes 2GB of RAM and 8GB of storage. It also comes with speakers, along with a subwoofer and two rear wireless satellite speakers which together make up the Mi TV 4 Dolby Atmos home theater. Dolby Atmos utilizes the upfiring speakers to project sound overhead, so audio envelopes the viewer in 3D space.
